Tasting Notes: Piana is the par excellence of Barbera d'Alba. The winemaking in steel vats strengthens the characteristics of the variety, enhancing the sense of freshness and olfactory fragrances. In the glass, the wine shows beautiful ruby colors with violet hues, and sensations of fruit, punchy and juicy. In the ampelographic Piedmontese landscape, Barbera is certainly the variety that stands out the most from the gastronomic point of view: the tannin content and incisive acidity, in fact, given it certain food-wine pairing capabilities and allows pairing with more exuberant, full-flavoured and fatty dishes.
