Country: France, Burgundy
Tasting Notes: Old vine Pinot Noir digs its roots into a diverse range of soils from limestone to marl to red silt that add richness to the wine. The nose is comprised of notes of strawberry, violet, and rose, with more complex fragrances of licorice and leather developing with age. A well-structured wine with velvety tannins that will rewards extensive cellaring. Fermentation on the lees in French oak barrels is followed by an extensive aging period of 15-18 months.
