Country: Australia, McLaren Vale
Tasting Notes: Pale watermelon pink. Slightly riper characters of cranberry and raspberry jubes dominate a lifted nose that also has subtle notes of fresh minty herbals. The palate is bold and packed with ripe and juicy strawberry and cherry flavours. Soft, slinky and unctuous and very importantly bone dry, with subtle acidity holding it together beautifully, this is a wine that is eminently easy to drink.
Varietal: 100% Sangiovese
Pairing: A wine made for warm summer evenings a perfect accompaniment would be a simple fish dish such as seared King George Whiting fillets caught fresh off the Port Willunga coast served with just cooked cherry tomatoes, olives and fresh herbs.
