Tasting Notes: Soul of a Lion is the crown jewel of DAOU and an emblem of our quest to produce unsurpassed Cabernet Sauvignon from the terroir of DAOU Mountain. Deep red and purple hues in the glass. The nose is elegantly layered with notes of violet, strawberry jam, cassis, blueberry, and black currant. Generous flavors of red fruit, chocolate-covered blueberry, and baking spices expand into a rich, rounded mouthfeel, while vivid acidity and bright tannins join together on an exquisitely structured finish. The result is a wine of immense staying power that will evolve favorably for many years to come
