Tasting Notes: The Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru has an attractive, comely bouquet with notes of popcorn, citrus fruit and shaved almond, all nicely defined. The palate is well balanced with a keen line of acidity, citrus fresh with a touch of orange sorbet, yet like many other 2014 Corton-Charlemagnes, it just seems denuded of material, substance on the finish, as if dipping before the finish line too early.
