Tasting Notes: A very intense, brooding and deeply pitched nose features ripe yet fresh dark berry fruit and some earthy/smoky notes. The wine exhibits generous but firm and concentrated ripe fruit flavours with excellent mid-palate power and richness, all wrapped in a solid and well-structured “built-to-age” finish. The tannins are remarkably fine, given the flavour and fruit intensity of this vintage. Also, the texture has an almost seamless quality, making this wine very drinkable at this early stage of development yet it has great aging potential.
