Country: Australia, Coonawarra
Tasting Notes: Deep, dark crimson with vibrant hues. Intense aromas of blackcurrant, mulberry, plum, chocolate and light mint seamlessly interwoven with delicate cedary oak. There is a subtle hint of warm clay earth and dried tobacco aromas. A medium bodied, softly textured Cabernet Sauvignon with an elegant, concentrated, rich palate, layered with a complex meld of blackcurrant, mulberry, raspberry and dark chocolate flavours. A good elegant structure: velvety, though linear and long. The flavours that linger on the finish are focused by the regional dusty fine tannins and perfectly balanced acidity.
Varietal: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Pairing: Gold Label Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon is great with seared Wagyu burgers with wild rocket and Dijon mustard, or slow roasted shoulder of lamb with fresh mint sauce and baby beetroot.
